Founded in 1973, the nonprofit NEDCC | Northeast Document Conservation Center specializes in the preservation of paper- and film-based materials as well as audio recordings. The Center serves clients nationwide, including archives, government agencies, other cultural heritage organizations, and individuals.
NEDCC provides conservation treatment and digitization for book, photograph, and paper collections, including large collections and oversize materials. NEDCC also offers audio preservation for at-risk or unique recordings on grooved media or magnetic or digital audio tape. The Center’s paper and book conservators provide collections-level and item-level assessments. www.nedcc.org/assessm
NEDCC’s Preservation Services department provides preservation training webinars, workshops, and conferences, which can be customized for an organization or association. Preservation Services staff members provide preservation needs assessments; digital preservation assessments; consultations on a variety of preservation issues; a free "Ask NEDCC" reference service for preservation questions; and a 24/7 Collections Emergency Hotline.
NEDCC's Staff members are highly trained and are skilled in working with rare, fragile, and significant collections materials.
NEDCC is a trusted resource for preservation information and training. www.nedcc.org
