Participation in Courses

Registration for Courses

Full payment must accompany registration submissions. Registrations not accompanied by payment will be placed on hold until payment is received. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid being double-billed, do not send your registration via more than one method. To register, participants may submit completed registration forms online, via mail, or via fax (with credit card number). Please do not fax your registration if paying by check.

SAA accepts checks made payable to SAA, as well as credit cards issued by VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. Payment must be made in U.S. funds.

Early Registration Discount

Participants who submit a completed SAA Registration Form with payment at least 30 days prior to the course start date receive up to a $70 discount, depending on the course cost and membership status.

Registration Limits

For a course to be offered, a minimum enrollment based on specific course expenses must be reached 30 days prior to the course. Attendance may be limited in certain offerings due to location constraints.

Cancellation

SAA courses are subject to cancelation 21 days prior to the scheduled date of the event if the minimum enrollment is not attained. Instructors and registered participants will be notified immediately after the 21-day deadline in the event of cancellation; participants will receive a full refund or an opportunity to apply their registration toward another offering.

Refunds and Transfers

Courses canceled by SAA will result in full and prompt refunds to registered participants. In the event that participants must cancel their registration, the following stipulations apply:

  1. Participants who cancel registration in writing 5 business days prior to the first scheduled day of the course will receive a full refund minus a $40 administrative fee per course. For the purposes of registration, any courses that are part of a boot camp are deemed individual courses.
  2. Participants won't receive a refund for a course if cancellation is received fewer than 5 business days prior to the first scheduled day of the course.

Policies updated June 2018.
