SAA Health and Safety Policy

The health, well-being, safety, and security of our attendees, partners, staff, guests, and members is our top priority and we remain vigilant in our COVID-19 protocols and policies. SAA takes guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  • Attendees are strongly encouraged to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations. This means having completed a COVID-19 vaccine primary series and received the most recent booster dose recommended by the CDC and as authorized of approved by the Food and Drug Administration, or for international guests, the World Health Organization.
  • Masks are welcome but not required. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask is welcome to do so, and their decision should be respected.
  • If at any time during an SAA meeting an attendee tests positive for COVID-19, they should not participate in any in-person meeting. We ask that anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 follow current CDC guidelines for quarantine and testing: Respiratory Virus Guidance | Respiratory Illnesses | CDC.
  • CDC recommendations that are in effect at the time of any SAA meeting will be enacted and enforced.

We recognize that our understanding of the COVID-19 virus will continue to evolve, and therefore our policies, procedures and plans will also evolve and be updated accordingly. All SAA vendor partners, exhibitors, speakers, volunteers, and guests, are encouraged to monitor the CDC guidelines for the most up-to-date policies and procedures.

Policies updated July 2024.
