Three dozen student chapters of the Society of American Archivists have been established around the country since 1993. These chapters serve as a means of introducing new archivists into the profession, as well as enhancing education by providing an additional focus for students to discuss archival issues, identify with the profession, and engage in professional activities. The chapters also promote communication among student members and ultimately develop leaders of tomorrow's archives profession.
If you are interested in learning more about student chapters, establishing one at your institution, or updating your student chapter listing, please contact SAA Headquarters at education@archivists.org.
