News in Brief: ICA Business & Labour Archives

Becky Haglund Tousey, Mondelēz International

The International Council on Archives’ Section on Business & Labour Archives (ICA/SBL) held a 2-day business archives symposium this past April in Basel, Switzerland, hosted by Roche (pharmaceutical) Archives.   There were over 100 attendees from several continents.  Here is a link to the program.

Most of the presentations will be made available later this summer, posted on the same ICA/SBL website.   BAS member Paul Lasewicz from IBM was on the program.   Fellow BAS member Becky Haglund Tousey from Mondelēz International (formerly Kraft Foods, Inc.) also attended, and will share highlights from the symposium at SAA in New Orleans, during the Section Business Meeting on Friday, August 16, 12:30-2:30 PM.

Modern companies strive to

Modern companies strive to optimize processes and reduce costs. One of the most effective solutions is outsourcing customer care service, which allows them to focus on key aspects of their business. This is especially relevant for start-ups and small businesses that need to maintain high quality of service with limited resources. This approach helps to improve the customer experience and increase the overall efficiency of the company.
