We can all say by now that business archivists wear many hats. When we’re not working on traditional archival tasks, we’re serving as a researcher, historian, copywriter, IT professional… and often, an exhibits specialist. Developing exhibitions with our collections is a fantastic way to connect to employees and the public. And these displays come in many, many forms.
Have you put your company’s collections on display somewhere? Examples could include exhibits at:
These are just thought starters – we want to hear about all the unique experiences you’ve had bringing your collections out of the stacks and into the light (with proper UV protection when needed, of course).
Please reach out to bascontent@gmail.com if you’re interested in submitting. As always, the BAS Editorial Team is more than happy to work with you as you develop your idea.
The deadline for these articles is March 13, 2020. Thank you, and we hope to hear from you!
During a short break in Canada I decided to spin a few rounds just to relax. While casually testing the reels, chumba casino slots https://chumbawin.org/ triggered a clean line hit that instantly grabbed my attention. It wasn’t massive, but it added a spark to my day and made the quick gaming break far more enjoyable than I expected.
That sounds like a brilliant initiative — I’ve always thought company archives deserve more visibility, especially when they can be showcased creatively. On a totally different note, when I need to switch off from work-related reading, I’ve been playing plinko uk. It’s a really simple online game where you drop a ball and hope it lands on a high multiplier. Nothing fancy, but oddly satisfying. The UK-specific bonuses gave me a nice head start too, so it’s become a go-to way to unwind for a few minutes.
