Hey Midwest business archivists!
We’re excited to announce we’ll be reprising the Business Archives Preconference at this year’s Midwest Archives Conference (MAC) Annual Meeting. We were at capacity last year in Detroit and we hope to do it again! The preconference will take place from May 6 in Des Moines, Iowa. Preliminary information on the MAC Annual Meeting is available here: https://www.midwestarchives.org/2020-annual-meeting.
We have the initial topics set and are looking for additional speakers/panelists to share their knowledge and experiences. This will be a full-day event dealing with the following topics:
We’re also looking to feature business archives-related videos throughout the program. Even if you’re not able to attend the meeting, we’d love to share your video and a short statement with attendees!
If you’re interested in being a speaker/panelist on either (or both) of the topics above, or would like to submit a video, please indicate your interest here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd1z15bl9EgomHWf3hjcf8guk6hSK6fxivmcF4sOb3pjJnQjQ/viewform?usp=sf_link
Please respond by February 14, 2020.
For any questions or video submissions, please reach out to Jennifer Johnson (jennifer_i_johnson@cargill.com), Hathaway Hester (hathawayhester@gmail.com), or Stephanie Giordano (stephanie.giordano@rotary.org). We hope to see you in Des Moines!
I recently came across the call for presenters for the 2020 Business Archives Preconference and found it incredibly engaging. The focus on sharing innovative archival practices is inspiring, especially for professionals navigating complex digital records. It reminds me of how some modern platforms, like those reviewed on https://at.casinohex.at/online-casinos/google-play/, provide intuitive interfaces that make otherwise complicated processes seamless. Just as these platforms prioritize user-friendly experiences and accessibility, effective business archives benefit tremendously from clear, organized, and accessible presentation of information. Integrating such thoughtful approaches ensures that archives are not only preserved but also practical and engaging for users. I look forward to seeing how these ideas are brought to life by the presenters
I’ve been reading about ways people cope with burnout and totally relate — some days I feel completely drained and can’t focus on anything. At one point, I just needed a way to switch off, so I tried play jonny. Starting with a small game and a bonus for new players helped me relax a bit. That little distraction made it easier to breathe and even lifted my mood for the rest of the evening.
Due to the nature of my work, I often hold conferences and use my Mac, which stores all the necessary file and text information. True, when preparing for the next conference, it began to show an error; after looking at a lot of information on the blogs https://setapp.com/how-to/no-mountable-file-system-on-mac, I found the reason and corrected it. The conference did not fail, but was fruitful and interesting.
Business is awesome, but I prefer gambling. It’s always nicer when you can play without worrying about big deposits. I found https://casinoonlineca.ca/internet-casinos/1-minimum-deposit-casinos/ and it’s a great way to get started. You only need $1 to dive into some fun! Plus, the site offers casino reviews, so you can feel confident you’re picking the right spots. If you’re into gaming but want to keep your investment low, this is the perfect place.
