The next edition of the Business Archives Section Quarterly (BASQ) is in the works!
This time we are dealing with the ways in which corporate archives are managing during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an unusual time for us all, and we are interested in hearing how business archivists are supporting their companies. We've had some great conversations on the message board about this topic and want to take it to the newsletter.
You can check out the threads “Your Responses to COVID-19” (March 19) and “Documenting the now? COVID-era ideas requested” (April 6) on the BAS message board if you haven’t had a chance.
What are you up to? We want to hear about it! Some examples include:
We are ideally looking for articles between 500 and 1,000 words in length, but are more than happy to work with you as you develop your idea! Please reach out to bascontent@gmail.com to discuss. Even if you're just thinking about submitting, we'd love to connect.
The deadline for these articles is June 19, 2020. Thank you, and we hope to hear from you!
The BASQ Call for Submissions – Archives in a Pandemic invites archivists to share how they adapted during COVID‑19, from remote access solutions to new digital workflows. Submitting your experiences helps document challenges, innovations, and lessons learned, supporting the profession and future preparedness. While reflecting on your submission, taking a short break can help, and sites like royspinskasyno.com offer light entertainment to recharge.
