I am a self-employed archivist, currently working as an archival assistant at the Arkansas State Archives. Before entering the archives profession, my work was centered on military and community service. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree, I served as a commissioned officer and meteorologist in the United States Air Force. I left military service to support my husband, who is also a service member, our family and our community. I have volunteered in the various units we have been assigned to, supporting military members and their families, in our child’s schools, and within various religious and community organizations.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Geography with an emphasis in Atmospheric Science from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. I continue to serve our military, academic, and local communities, and am honored to now serve the archival profession through this appointment to the SAA Foundation Board of Directors.
