Volunteer for SAA Foundation Committees

Are you looking for ways to be more involved? Interested in the programs, grants, and awards the SAA Foundation provides?  The SAA Foundation Board of Directors invites applications from individuals interested in volunteering as a committee member or as an Emerging Professional on various SAA Foundation committees!  These positions will serve alongside SAA Foundation Board members assigned to the committees.

Committee Members open positions

Development Committee 

  • (2) open Committee Member positions.
  • 2-year term, August 2024 to September 1, 2026.

Grant Review Committee 

  • (1) open Committee Member position.
  • 2-year term, August 2024 to September 1, 2026.

National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA) Review Committee

  • (3) open Committee Member positions.
  • 3-year term, August 2024 to September 1, 2027. 

(New) Emerging Professional Member open positions

The Emerging Professional position on these committees are intended to build skills and knowledge in working collaboratively to advance the mission and goals of an organization like the SAA Foundation. The position is open to those who are students, new to the field, or early career—ex officio, with vote.

Volunteer now for a position on a SAA Foundation committee!

Deadline: February 1, 20224

Complete and submit the self-nomination form by February 1, 2024. SAA membership is not required for a position on the Foundation Board or its component committees. The experiences and skills necessary for these positions may differ significantly from those required for other SAA leadership appointments. 

The SAA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to raise funds to provide resources to enhance the work of the archives community. The Foundation's sole corporate member is the Society of American Archivists. The Board's Nominating Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Board for final approval.
