The Society of American Archivists Preservation Section is excited to announce our Call for Proposals for the annual Preservation Week Twitter Conference on Wednesday, April 27th. As part of ALA Preservation Week 2022, this free and inclusive conference will cover a range of preservation related topics for archivists and librarians (or any interested party!). We encourage you to follow along on Twitter using the hashtag #PresTC22!
Each speaker will have a 15 minute time slot allocated to their presentation. While this year’s ALA Preservation Week’s annual theme is Sustainability, we welcome presenters interested in this topic and beyond, with the hope that there will be subject matters of interest to a broad range of audiences to help support the educational mission of Preservation Week.
This Conference has been modeled after the Icon Twitter Conference (#IconTC) and Public Archeology Twitter Conference (#PATC).
Please submit your presentation proposal here.
Proposals are encouraged from all forms of practitioners with a project or research on the preservation of library and archival materials. In particular, we would like to encourage submissions from students and individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizations.
If you have any questions, please contact Kelley Smith, SAA Preservation Section Communications/Outreach Committee Co-Chair: kelleynsmith.ks@gmail.com. Or contact the Communications Committee via our Twitter @SAAPreservation.
