Vice Chair/Chair-Elect Candidate

The following candidate is running for the Vice Chair/Chair-Elect position:

Heather Hamilton

Paper Conservator, Harry Ransom Center, The University of Texas at Austin

Candidate Statement: I am a paper conservator at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin. I've been a conservator for 17 years, most of which have been in libraries and archives, including the Harvard Libraries and Texas State Library and Archives. I have an M.A. in Art Conservation with Certificate of Advanced Study from Buffalo State University. I'm particularly interested in the overlapping goals of conservators and archivists, and I would look forward to working with SAA members to understand these commonalities even more.

Member-at-Large Candidate

The following candidate is running for the section steering committee Member-At-Large:

Kelley Moulton

Archivist and Special Collections Librarian, University of Idaho

Candidate Statement: My name is Kelley Moulton and I am currently the Archivist and Special Collections Librarian at the University of Idaho. Prior to my position at the University of Idaho, I was the Regional History Librarian for the Community Library in Ketchum, Idaho where I was charged with preservation of archival materials, museum objects and artifacts, and a historic house. In both of these positions, I have worked in a variety of conditions and deterioration across the scale as a result, something that was a growing period and in which SAA documents were of great use. Currently, I work to preserve and share mostly paper materials through processing and digitization work in collaboration with my colleagues. I enjoy learning and gaining knowledge from others with more experience in specific types of preservation and am interested in gaining experience working with the Preservation Section of SAA while becoming more involved in the group.
