Are you passionate about preservation and excited to share skills and knowledge with your colleagues? Would you like to get more involved with SAA and expand your leadership experience? Maybe it's time to help lead the Preservation Section!
We are seeking candidates for two positions:
If you are interested in nominating yourself, or would like to nominate someone else, please send the name and a 4 or 5 sentence statement of interest/professional bio to Kim Hoffman (khoffman@hamilton.edu) by Wednesday, May 31st (extended!)
The work: Section projects include planning programming for the annual meeting, designing fundraisers benefiting the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives, fun outreach projects like the Agents of Deterioration bookmarks, and the #PresTC twitter conferences.
The Steering Committee meets by Zoom once a month, with other business conducted by email. Attendance at the annual meeting is not required.
Members-At-Large - Advise and support the work of the section as a member of the Steering Committee. Serve on standing committees, as appropriate.
Vice-Chair/Chair Elect - For one year you will serve as the Vice-Chair; the following year you will serve as the Chair; and your final year on the Committee you will serve as Past-Chair.
