Outreach Ideas:

Recruitment for blog posts

• Guest post from Lori Donovan on web archiving syllabus in May (Corinne will reach back out towards the end of the semester.)

• Lizzy interested in writing about IIPC conference. Lizzy is out this month, ask about how IIPC was next time.

  • Will check up on this next meeting

• Do we want to do a recap of the Doug Lambert coffee chat? 

  • No recap needed

Recruitment for Coffee Chats

• Kristi and colleagues interested in presenting on AI project, WARC-GPT. Does Friday, June 14 at noon work? 

  • Still interested; Friday, June 14 @ noon works for Kristi and colleagues–we will talk to steering committee and book

  • Corinne will be away 1st week of June, so we will need to help with marketing and promotion of talk

    • Amanda will help–She’ll ask Allison and Kristi will post on socials/listserv

Annual Meeting Planning: 

• Corinne, Allison, and Lizzy met with the Public Library Archives & Special Collections section last month.

• They like the Community Webs idea, and we identified some individuals to reach out to about speaking. We discussed the layout of the meeting and identified a date.

Social Media

• No updates

• Kristi will write a roundup post at the end of this month

SAA Annual Meeting Conversation Lounge

• Amanda and Corinne’s Webjam?

  • Will invite the steering committee to the next one in a month 

  • Will write a blog post about it 

• Appraisal and/or description

• Alison will reach out to the committee folks to find out about calls and times and let us know

Elections

• Corinne will create draft for call for candidates and send out for edits

• Corinne will issue call for candidates

Council updates (Alison):

• May 1 & 2 was at the meeting

• Considering council actions for exemplary service

• Proposals of materials

• Section health assessment working group

• Speaker honorariums 

Action Items:

• Lizzy–are you interested in writing an IIPC blog?
