2018 Annual Meeting Minutes

SAA Diverse Sexualities and Genders Section Business Meeting

Friday, August 17 – 11:00am – 12:15pm, Washington 1 [Exhibition Level]

Land Recognition

As many of us are settlers, immigrants or descendants of those forcefully brought to this land it is our collective responsibility to pay respect and recognize that this land is the traditional territory of the Piscataway and related Algonquin Aboriginal Communities and we are here because this land was occupied. Please take a moment to consider the many legacies of violence, displacement, migration, and settlement that bring us here today.
