The SAA Foundation Board is pleased to announce the following recipients of its 2018 Joint Annual Meeting Travel Award:
June 13, 2018—The Society of American Archivists (SAA) is deeply concerned about recent reports related to archival records in Iraq, specifically the April 4, 2018, New York Times article by Rukmini Callimachi in which Ms.
Among the duties and responsibilities of SAA’s Committee on Ethics and Professional Conduct is to conduct a complete review of SAA’s Core Values Statement and Code of Ethics periodically to ensure that the document continues to meet the needs of the profession, and to recommend changes to the Council as appropriate. The document was last reviewed and revised in 2012.
May 31, 2018—At the recommendation of the SAA Intellectual Property Working Group, the SAA Executive Committee agreed to sign on to a Joint NGO Letter on the Proposed WIPO Treaty on Broadcasting, drafted by Knowledge Ecology International.
