Congress Passes FY 18 Budget; NARA, NEH, and IMLS See Funding Increases

March 23, 2018—Today the Congress approved, and the President signed, a $1.3 trillion omnibus appropriations bill that will fund the federal government for the six months remaining in FY 18. Across the board, archives, history, and education programs were either level funded or received small increases—despite the President’s proposed elimination of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and other programs.
