Minutes

Meeting began at 4:04PM

Present: Erin Barnes, Joanna Kolosov, Catherine Tremblay

Approve meeting minutes: Joanna, seconded by Catherine T.

1) Election

a. Editorial and Program Specialist, Hannah, has been advised by Joanna that everything is ready for the ballot.

b. Joanna will send out to membership the link to vote for the vice chair position for a two-year term, one candidate on the ballot, Charmaine Bonner.

2) Schedule poll

a. Next up is the live link for the survey/poll. 

b. Unsure how long we will be able to let it run.

Both items 1 (Election) and 2 (Poll) will be completed before the next meeting, and hopefully Charmaine will be able to attend it.

3) Discuss possible sections to partner with on programming - do we know anyone on the following section committees?

a. Web archiving - Joanne will reach out to Corinne Chatnik

b. Religious archives –

4) Review, update, expand resources       

a. Keep the blog content fresh - all of us should take a page to review and make sure the content is still up to date.  See if anything needs to be fleshed out, more content needed.  Other ideas/topics for guides?  E.g. ArchivesSpace / archival management software - we can reach out to other institutions for their documentation too.

a. September stats - 79 views, 53 visitors, 35 views of Chicago Public Library’s exhibit post

c.New blog series? Continue exhibit series?

                                 i. Try to do 2 posts per month.

                               ii. Heritage months - finding aids or online exhibits to go with each heritage month.  Reach out to specific orgs to see if they are interested to have their collections highlighted, rather than asking our members to submit content.
