International Archival Affairs Section

International Archival Affairs Section (IAAS) identifies and addresses issues and concerns of archives and archivists throughout the world; provides a forum for discussion, dissemination and promotion of issues related to international archival affairs. Below are our current virtual programs open to the public and any member of SAA.

Archival Landscapes virtual seminar series began in 2020. In each seminar, an international guest speaker introduces participants to the issues and advancements in their local context, describing the history, operating environment and unique aspects of archival practice in their country.

In each seminar, an international guest speaker(s) introduces attendees to how they have interacted with a particular standard, and shares their aspirations, implementation, and development experience with the standard.
