At this critical moment for the arts, the humanities, and cultural heritage in the United States, the Committee's charge of advising the President of ways to support the arts, humanities, and museum and library services is more important than ever.

The Society of American Archivists mourns the passing on December 16, 2022, of Edward L. Weldon, 86, a Fellow of SAA who served as the 37th president in 1981–1982.
