Minutes:

Meeting began at 3:00 PM CST

Present: Catherine Oseas, Joanna Kolosov, Charmaine Bonner

Approve the April 17, 2024 meeting minutes

Motion to approve:Catherine moves to approve the minutes. Charmaine seconds. Approved unanimously

1) Reschedule June 19 meeting

a. Rescheduled for 6/20 at 1pm PT/4pm ET

2) Change to Standing Rules awaiting approval from SAA CEO Jackie Price Osafo

a. Should be in by the end of the month. Adding rules to section election in june

3) Help spread the call for 2024-2025 PLASC nominations

Two at-large member nominations so far (poll)

1. Trying to fill co-chair, webmaster, one at large
2. Erinn is webmaster, but is she staying?
3. Leaving: Biz, Joanna?, Catherine O?(will stay if no one applies)
4. Staying: Charmaine, Catherine T
5. Announcements in local ListServs.

4) Memory Lab blog series update

1. Participation from Scotts County, IA.
2. Michael Lambert SFPL linked out to our blog post. Stats went way up!
3. California memory lab network  - how to support memory labs in your state

5) Joint annual section meeting with Web Archives Section

1. set for Wednesday, July 17, 11am PDT/12pm MDT/1pm CDT/2pm EDT

2. Speakers update (need to reach out to Dylan Gaffney)

- Catherine O may speak on BPL
- Catherine O will reach out to Dylan
- WAS reaching out to third speaker
- Let’s look for an alternate for Catherine O please <3

6) Reappraisal & deaccessioning program (June, next year)

a. Push to next year
