I have had a query from someone in my region concerning school yearbooks. She is concerned about releasing photos to individuals other than those who are the subject of photos from her school's yearbook - I told her I thought it wasn't an issue because the yearbooks have already been published and are public - so there isn't a question of privacy - is that correct? She is also concerned because an alum wants to have all the yearbooks scanned and put online. She wanted to know if there is a "standard" or "statement" used by college archivists to permit broad access to their yearbooks - or photos from yearbooks - hope you can help! Thanks!
