1. Campus Histories theme:

EE/MS are in touch with a number of potential authors for writing on the theme, likely for Academic Archivist blog.

Other ideas for outputs this year include time at annual section meeting for networking; handouts for non-archivists re. the topic; examples of “how to do” engagement and outreach for our members; Petrina suggested the additional idea of creating a crowdsourced #syllabus on the topic; a video to last through time and to reach a wider audience (EE will reach out to all steering committee members on this). All great ideas.

Elvia also brought our attention to the related work at UVA and UNC.

2. Section annual meeting planning: Saturday August 3rd 2019 10 am to 11:15 am (room to be announced later). Quite a few of us will be there. It will a be business meeting combined with lightning round presentations by invited guests or steering committee members. We felt there is not likely time for including networking or for breakout discussions of the lightning round presentations, unfortunately. EE will continue contacting potential speakers.

3. Nominations Committee (Rebecca, Greg and Christina): tabled till next month.

4. Council Update (Petrina): Council is discussing leadership orientation for SAA Annual Meeting - if there is anything we suggest that they include, please let her know. Also, Council is discussing the issue among members re. the current lack of salaries within job advertisements and will hold a forum on this topic at the Annual Meeting; also, pop-ups on this will be held.

5. Academic Archivist blog: MS is working with a number of potential authors on the campus histories theme.

6.  Campus Case Studies : none; one author has expressed interest.

7. Other? none
