June – July 2023

Pre-conference Activities

SAA will host a variety of events and governance activities virtually in June and July, prior to the Joint Annual Meeting, including the SAA Research Forum, SAA Section meetings, and appointed group (i.e., committee, board, and task force) meetings. (Free to attend. RSVP required for Zoom security,) Archives on the HillPrivacy 101 for Archivists: Understanding Issues and Best Practices, and Fire Protection in Archives, Museums, and Collections

Attend the Basics of Quantitative Data Analysis Using A*CENSUS II, Parts 1 and 2. This webinar and forum will cover the fundamentals of quantitative data analysis with Excel. Part 1 takes place on July 11Register for Part 1 here and be sure to attend Part 2 at the Joint Annual Meeting!

July 26 - 29 2023

Wednesday, July 26

User group meetings and repository tours (in-person and virtual) will be held, along with a selection of other events. Please check the full schedule starting in April for more details.

Thursday, July 27 – Saturday, July 29

Three days of programming—starting at 11:00 am ET on Thursday, July 27, and running through 4:00 pm ET on Saturday, July 29that includes (with Registration fee):

  • Two plenaries (livestreamed),
  • Fourty sessions accepted by the Program Committee will be presented in either virtual, in-person, or hybrid formats,
  • The Diversity Forum and other open forums,
  • Professional and graduate student posters will be on display in the conference hotel and on a dedicated page on the conference platform,
  • The Expo Hall,
  • Vendor Mini-Theater Presentations,
  • Career Center services, and
  • Multiple networking events, conversation lounges, and receptions, both in-person and virtual.

After July 29

Session Recordings (Included in Registration Fee)

Additionally, in the days and weeks following the conference, all plenary and program session recordings will be available for on-demand viewing for all conference registrants.
