Visual Materials Cataloging and Access Roundtable: Election 2014

The Visual Materials Cataloging and Access Roundtable will be holding elections electionically and outide of the annual meeting at SAA.  Nomiees are currents members of SAA and VMCAR and must be present at the annual meeting in August.  Cathy Martyniak will take over the chair from Wendy Pflug at the annual meeting in August 2014.

Vice-Chair/ Chair-Elect Candidate: Shannon Erb, Moving Image Digitization Specialist at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (Nashville, TN)

About Shannon:

I am a recent graduate from the MLIS program at the University of Wisconsion- Milwaukee, with a concentration in Archival Science and a special focus on audiovisual archiving.  However, new to the field, I am working on a year-long moving image digitization project at the Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as pioneered many other photographic and moving images projects at my former employers.  In graduate school at UW- Milawaukee, I served a duel position as the President and Treasurer of their SAA Student Chapter, as well as I am an active board member and chair for many local organizations.

I would love to serve as Vice-Chair/ Chair-Elect of this Roundtable, as I want to be more active in SAA at a professional level, and I want to bring new ideas and events to the Roundtable for the future!  My enthusiasm and knowledge of visual materials and cataloging will certainly prove to be very beneficial to the committee and members.
