Please mark your calendar! the PLASC Roundtable is scheduled to meet on Friday, August 15, from 4-5:30 p.m.

2. We'll be streaming the PLASC RT meeting LIVE!

Can't make it to SAA this year? PLASC will be streaming the RT meeting via UStream. You'll be able to watch it live or view it on demand at a later time. We'll send further instructions on how to tune in as we get closer to the meeting.

3. Seeking participants - SAA 2014 PLASC Lightening Round

Share your great ideas with your PLASC colleagues! Participate in a lightening round at the PLASC meeting to be held at SAA on Friday, August 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Each participant has 5 minutes to share their idea(s). Are you doing some great outreach about your local history collection? Have some tips to share about volunteers? What about some cool social media tools you’re using? We’d love to hear about it!

Please contact Steering Committee Vice-Chair, Leslie Waggener, with your ideas.

6. Zee Maps – Check it Out!

We’re using Zee Maps as a way to visualize PLASC members across the globe so you can connect with other members in your community, or elsewhere. The Zee Maps visualization creates dynamic clusters of members based on the level of zoom established by the user, helping to identify regions and even cities with high concentrations of PLASC membership.  Using the map, you can locate over 900 PLASC members across the globe, which will assist in local networking, continuing education, and other shared opportunities.

7.  Resource List - Help Expand our Resource List

We would like to provide an expanding resource list for PLASC members on our website, with information closely tied to PLASC concerns, but we need your help!  We want to hear from you about your favorite tools and we hope you will help us populate the list.

For suggestions for other resources, please contact Steering Committee member, Daria D'Arienzo.

8. Please send in Your Images for our website!

If you’ve visited our website recently, you’ll notice a featured image from a PLASC member institution. Have something cool to share? Have other comments or suggestions about our online presence?

Please send it on to the PLASC Webmaster, Jennifer Sharp.
