  • Programming during annual meeting - interest more people in attending
    • Leesburg VA public library
      • Non-loan narratives: Archives through barcodes
    • Oakland public library
    • Crowdsourcing through creative contests – lead person was at a public library
      • Accept / reject - one for coffee chat, one for annual meeting
  • Coffee Chat (February)
    • Friday, February 13th, 1 pm ET | Heidi Morse, archivist at Ann Arbor District Library.
    • Nazelie will MC
      • Introduce self, PLASC steering committee members, preformatted PowerPoint (PLASC spacesaver slide for people to look at; announcements); introduce Heidi, etc.
    • Erinn asked for short blurb & bio - send out for notification
    • Zoom - Erinn’s PPLD - Erinn & Nazelie co-host; Heidi co-host to share her own screen/slides
    • Registration - good to keep track of people who regularly come, tapping them for future leadership

      • Following up on memory labs posting / interest via PPLD blog
    • Community webs - web archiving at local / public library level

  • Component group funding announcement
    • March 1 is deadline for funds needed between July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027
    • Ideas for what we use our funding on between 7/2026 - 6/2027?
    • Potential projects or initiatives - what can our section do to support SAA member engagement?
      • Things that boost engagement with SAA, funding speaker opportunities, spanning multiple component groups, promotes DEI, sustainability?
      • Paying for speakers, sponsoring scholarships - public libraries don’t usually pay for travel funds, even if a small amount, because SAA is expensive. Specifically helping public library archivists get to SAA!
    • $5,000 allocated for all component groups
    • Action item: Erinn will work on component funding
