Agenda:

Approval of April Minutes - Heather motioned, Charmaine seconded.

Election: In need of Candidates!

Open elected seats are Co-Chair and Secretary

One At-Large member to be appointed - Mott Linn, retired archivist and former section chair

Charimaine: suggested posting to Archivist Think Tank 

Timeline for elections:

• Early May, issue call for candidates. 
• Mid-May, Prepare and post Candidate Statements
• June 2: Ballot info due to SAA
• June 25-Jul 16: Ballots open
• July 23: Results are available
• August 1: Updates to section roster due

Annual Meeting: presenters secured! 

Katie MacKendrick and Laura Ruttum Senturia of Denver Public Library Special Collections will present on post-audit description remediation. 

Margaret Peachy, Kimberly Reynolds, and Viv Williams of Boston Public Library will present on two projects: Updating folder titles to eliminate language around Master and Servant and Haitian manuscript collections review of outdated or harmful language focused on slavery and race.

Updating & content for the section blog:

At Large Members take on some of this coordination in fall. 

The blog has not been updated since July 2024 & thought we may want to put a couple of posts up!

I just wanted to know if we would like to keep it updated and what sort of content we would like on it. 

Here are some suggestions: 

• A recap of our March Coffee Chat 
• An article written by a PLASC member for their institution
• A social media post that a PLASC member has written for their institution 
• A write up of a finding aid or a processing project that a PLASC member is working on. 

Easy stuff especially if it is content that is already created (ie SM posts or blog posts that you already have written)
