Meeting Minutes 

Present: Biz, Laura, Matthew, Joanna 

Approve April 20, 2023 meeting minutes 

1)  Section Meeting Planning      

                  Thursday, June 29th at 4:00 p.m EST

Confirm date/time with speakers, bios and blurb. 

Biz will get the word out (on listserv,etc.). 

Practice session will be during next PLASC, June 15th meeting (everyone download WebEx prior to meeting, e.g. WebEx extension for Chrome)

Assign roles: recording, questions, etc.

Will we have access to WebEx for a practice session?

Create free account (Laura will do)

Download WebEx extension

Create meeting and send out link

Matthew will help field questions/tech issues during section meeting

2) Newspaper Digitization  - Project spreadsheet divided by quadrant and TX.

Matthew will arrange the list in the Resource page of the microsite.

 4) 2023-2024 Elections

                  First call went out second week of May - one self-nomination for member-at-large

Second call - Laura will send out call again Monday, May 22

We will post on regional listservs and sections of which you are a member

Slate information due to SAA by June 1, 2023

5) SAA annual conference

      Matthew and Biz will attend in person
