Approve March 16, 2021 meeting minutes. Moved and Approved.
Updates
Chair, Angela Stanley
Followed up w/ Catherine re: creating survey report; draft forthcoming. Formatting similar to OCLC, background, reports, key data.
No response from two emails to Lone Arrangers Chair. Assume we will not be collaborating on meeting.
Reached out to Deborah Hakes for section meeting talk. Awaiting response and have other options
Must select Section Meeting date/time by May 1.
May be too late to submit funding requests for speaker fees.
Vice Chair & Newsletter Editor, Patricia Delara
No updates for newsletter content, will put out a call today for contributions today to Listserv.
Website, Johanna Russ. Minutes to be posted shortly for March and April.
Secretary & Social Media Coordinator, Dylan Gaffney
PLASC Twitter Polls - Questions and Results. Group will contribute additional questions over the next week. Can we work with others to create twitter chats in addition to polls? Should we ask about procedural and other changes that have come up as a result of pandemic? Do you anticipate these Covid-related changes will stick? Can we formulate a question around Federal funding and the impacts and challenges of allocating spending during the pandemic?

Outreach, Laura Carroll
No update aside from success of twitter polls as outreach.
Old Business
Section Meeting program @ SAA Annual (July 2021). Angela will work on a draft for the structure of the program. Question of whether the speaker would give a talk or more of a workshop. Will give prospective speakers that option. As we hear back from possible speakers, we will email and establish a date by the May 1st deadline.
New Business
Volunteers for 2021 Section Chair. Request for volunteer and discussion or duties and role of Chair. Understanding the role and purpose of the section, what is needed by membership, and how to address those needs. If no one volunteers we would have to put out a call to membership for candidates for Chair, as we will for Vice-Chair. It is our understanding that if we have a volunteer from within the group, we will not have an election for Chair, but will for Vice-Chair. Members will take some time to consider. If we don’t have a volunteer by Monday, it will be assumed that we need to put a call out to the membership for election.
Action Items
Committee members will let Angela know if willing to serve as chair.
Patricia will put out a call for contributions to the newsletter via listserv.
Angela will register for our Annual Meeting date and time.
