Metadata and Digital Object Section

Welcome to MDOS

The Metadata and Digital Object Section (MDOS), formerly Roundtable, is one of the largest sections within SAA. It promotes discussion, education, and collaboration among archivists who are interested in digital archival objects and the metadata that enables their access, management, and preservation.

To join or leave the Section, navigate to the "My Profile" link that will be visible in the upper-right-hand corner of the SAA homepage after you login. From there, select "My Groups," then hit the grey "Join" button next to the entry for "Metadata and Digital Object Section" in the "Sections Available" list. You will then have the option of navigating to either the MDOS Microsite or the MDOS "Community Discussion" (i.e. the listserv archive within SAA Connect).
