2. Annual Meeting Program: Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in small-group discussions (via Zoom breakout rooms) on three topics selected by membership. We will then reconvene in the main Zoom room for a recap and additional discussion.
   
   • Small group discussions with Jamboards (30 minutes)
     • Room 1: Challenges and issues facing archivists around technology and inclusivity
     • Room 2: Tools and technologies for work related to metadata and digital objects
     • Room 3: Large-scale metadata creation for digitization and other initiatives
   • Recap / large group discussion (30 minutes)

Members are reminded that although attendees do NOT have to register (pay) for the SAA Annual Meeting, all interested participants will need to register for this meeting to keep the Zoom information secure. Please register using the link below.

The Metadata and Digital Object Section (MDOS) annual section meeting will include a business component as well as facilitated, small group discussions on real or perceived working hurdles that occurred during the pandemic, with a review of what did or what did not work and exploration of what remains to be a challenge. 

We welcome suggestions for discussion topics via a poll that can be found here.

For a recap of topics covered last year and for possible inspiration for this year, you can review the Jamboards from the 2021 annual meeting here. Discussion topics will be reviewed by MDOS steering committee members. The deadline for topics is 11:59 pm on July 22, 2022.
