Vice Chair/Chair-Elect

Natalie Auxier, NBCUniversal Archives & Collections

Bio: I have been a studio Archivist for over 15 years and am currently the Manager of Archive Collections & Outreach at NBCUniversal in Universal City, CA. I oversee the archival holdings and material culture for Film productions, Theme Parks and Corporate History. I manage the acquisition, preservation and exhibition of assets from those collections. Throughout my career in studio Archives I have also worked at 20th Century Fox Archives and the Walt Disney Archives. I earned my Master’s Degree in Library Science from UCLA, and I am passionate about media and entertainment preservation and exhibition. I regularly serve as the spokesperson and advocate for all historical matters related to the company and production history of NBCUniversal by providing tours, curating exhibitions, and supporting numerous internal activations and initiatives.

Candidate Statement: I have been a member of SAA since 2017 and have greatly enjoyed being a part of the BAS community. Through tours, sessions and conversations, I have appreciated learning from other members best practices and how they have navigated challenges that occur in our unique corner of the Archives community. I would like to submit myself as a candidate for the Vice Chair position and interact more closely with the section’s members and further my participation in the BAS. If elected, I would be honored and excited to collaborate and plan the upcoming colloquium and mixer, as well as assist the Chair in any capacity. Thank you for your consideration.

Vice Editor/Editor-Elect

Hannah Adkins, Coty, Inc.

Bio: I have worked in business archives for the past 15+ years, across fine art, fashion, and beauty collections. Since 2016, I've built and managed the Coty Archives & Heritage program as the company's first and only archivist and historian. During my almost 10 years at Coty, I have developed both the physical and digital archive collections of more than a dozen heritage beauty brands, with contents dating back to the mid-1800s. In addition to maintaining and expanding these unique collections, I am responsible for all corporate heritage research and communications with internal and external audiences, working to preserve the past, inform the present, and inspire the future of beauty.

Prior to my time at Coty, I initiated the runway collection archive for American designer Thom Browne, and acted as archivist for Galerie Lelong, a contemporary art gallery managing the work and estates of artists including Ana Mendieta, whose film and photo collection I worked on extensively.

I hold a BA in Art History, Material Culture & Fashion Studies from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, and an MA in Fashion & Textile Studies: History, Theory & Museum Practice from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Candidate Statement: My professional trajectory has been shaped by business archives since my first job out of college. For the 15+ years that I have worked in this field, I've constantly had to advocate for myself and the collections I've been responsible for. Now, I'm happy to advocate for the larger profession and contribute to the further enrichment of our community through SAA's BAS.

Having spent the past year as BAS Secretary, I'm familiar with the operations of the committee and excited by the prospect of taking on a new role focused on the communications and promotion of the group's activities.

In addition to my work as Coty's archivist, I've spent a large part of the last 5 years working on the company's corporate communications initiatives. I look forward to the opportunity of applying this experience towards supporting and spotlighting the incredible work our section performs across so many different sectors and specializations.

Aileen Caldwell, Northwestern Mutual

Bio: I’ve been a business archivist at Fortune 500 financial services companies for over a decade, with the last four years spent at Northwestern Mutual. I earned my MLIS degree from Kent State in 2012, my Certified Archivist designation in 2016, and my DAS Certificate in 2020. Prior to Northwestern Mutual, I worked at Thrivent Financial for almost 7 years as part of the archives team. I’m currently a solo archivist, responsible for all aspects of the Corporate Archives. In addition to processing and collection management, I also answer hundreds of requests a year, give tours and presentations, and create outreach initiatives for a variety of audiences. I also manage a graduate student intern every summer and enjoy mentoring early-career archivists. I’m currently co-chair of the Southeastern Wisconsin Archives Group, a position I also held from 2020-2022.

Candidate Statement: Throughout my archives career, the Business Archives Section has been a key part of my continuing education, connection to the profession, and valuable source of support. I believe I’m a strong candidate for the Vice Content Editor position based on my decade+ of business archives work, and my enthusiasm for and commitment to our profession.

I’m especially excited about working on the Knowledge Share programming with the Content Editor and would enjoy creating interesting and engaging monthly events. These calls have been so helpful in sharing best practices and creating community outside of the annual SAA meeting. I’ve even leveraged some of the learnings to advocate for the importance of funding and supporting the archives.

I regularly collaborate with business partners in social media, marketing, and communications to share NM history and fun facts via external social posts and internal Slack content. I’ve learned editorial best practices and look forward to promoting the interesting work that we all do as business archivists using our regular channels, whether virtual meetings, social media, or the Section microsite.

Secretary

Jennifer H. Sirotkin, Chick-fil-A, Inc.

Bio: For the past ten years, I have been the archivist at Chick-fil-A, Inc.  I am responsible for corporate history questions, acquisitions and processing.  I have a Masters in Archival Studies from Clayton State University and became a Certified Archivist in 2018.  While in school, I interned at both NARA – Atlanta and at the Athens Clarke County Library’s Heritage Room and Archives.  I was Richard Pearce Moses’ graduate research assistant 2014-2015 and supported his work on the InterPARES 2 Project terminology database.

Candidate Statement: Coming from an academic library background, the Business Archives Section was invaluable in learning to be a corporate archivist.  For the past ten years, I have grown through the resources provided through this section.  Now I would like to give something back through serving as secretary and recording the work of the steering committee that makes it all happen.  Thank you for your consideration.

Shelby Long, The Winthrop Group at Ford Motor Company Archives

Bio: Shelby has been with the Ford Motor Company Archives for almost five years, serving as the Audiovisual Archivist. While she oversees the management and digitization of audiovisual assets she also curates exhibits, presents on the company’s history, writes articles, works with media, and answers reference requests. Prior to her role at Ford, she spent significant time researching and writing about qualitative research and digital preservation in libraries, archives, and museums.

Candidate Statement: I am incredibly excited to be running for the Secretary position within the Business Archives Section. I have been a part of SAA since I was a graduate student and since then have presented twice at the annual meeting. I would bring years of experience as a meeting facilitator for a wide range of projects with short and long-term timelines. Beyond my experience I genuinely enjoy recording and organizing information.

Education Chair

Virginia Allison-Reinhardt, Blizzard Archives

Bio: Virginia Allison-Reinhardt (MLIS) is the Senior Archives Manager at Blizzard Entertainment. She brings over a decade of archival experience spanning contemporary art and entertainment. Her work supports creative development and stewardship from early ideation to production, ensuring long-term accessibility and preservation of valuable creative assets.

Candidate Statement: Documentation is my superpower, this translates to ensuring key actions and takeaways are shared with the steering committee and section at large where appropriate. I'm interested in contributing to the advocacy efforts for business archives in SAA, and hope to learn from fellow business archivists.

Member-at-Large

Joe Stolarick, Clair Global

Bio: Joe joined Clair Global (Lititz, PA) in 2023 as their first Archivist. Clair is a technology company that specializes in delivering top-tier live production services, seamless systems integration, and cutting-edge audio products. Joe’s training in library science and audio production provides a solid foundation for his work. Joe previously served as Digital Archivist for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and established their digital archives program. Prior to that, he worked as an audio engineer, co-managing the Louisiana State Museum’s concert venue at the New Orleans Jazz Museum. Joe began his career as an Assistant Engineer for George Blood LP and Production Intern for Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. He holds a MLIS from Drexel University and a BA in Music from Lebanon Valley College (Annville, PA). In addition to SAA, Joe is an active member of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), Audio Engineering Society (AES), and National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (GRAMMY).

Candidate Statement: When I started at Clair, I needed to better understand what it means to be a business archivist. The Business Archives Section allowed me to connect with members and resources that continue to be invaluable. More than simply a source of information, the BAS is a community of thoughtful professionals who are generous with their time and knowledge. Every member I’ve contacted has provided advice and encouragement, wanting me to succeed.  As Member-At-Large, I look forward to contributing to this community and assisting new business archivists in navigating these now familiar waters, likewise setting them up for success.
