Streetcars: Iconic and efficient for tourists, with four main lines (St. Charles, Canal, Riverfront, Rampart) covering major attractions.
Walking: The most recommended way to navigate the compact French Quarter and Central Business District (CBD).
RTA Bus & Ferry: Buses cover more areas than streetcars, and the Algiers Ferry provides a scenic, low-cost crossing of the Mississippi River.
Ride-Sharing (Uber/Lyft): Widely available and often the fastest, most convenient option for late nights or going between neighborhoods.
Bikes/Blue Bikes: New Orleans has over 100 miles of bike lanes, and Blue Bikes electric bike-share stations are available throughout the city.
Pedicabs: A popular, fun way to travel short distances in the French Quarter and downtown area.
