The Society of American Archivists' Technical Subcommittee for Encoded Archival Standards (TS-EAS) are excited to announce the availability of "Records in Contexts (RiC) Update":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlZN1CQ2lVk
This webinar was originally held on December 13, 2021, and provides an update on work on the Records in Contexts (RiC) model. Daniel Pitti and Florence Clavaud of the International Council on Archives Experts Group on Archival Description (EGAD) present a brief overview of the archival description standard RiC followed by Q&A discussion. The presentation covers both the Conceptual Model (RiC-CM) and Ontology (RiC-O).
The EAS Section Steering Committee and TS-EAS are hard at work on further freely-available webinars and tutorials, informed by the feedback we received from a 2019-20 survey ( https://www2.archivists.org/groups/encoded-archival-standards-section/eas-2019-2020-section-survey-results ) conducted by the EAS Section. If you have ideas for webinars or tutorials related to encoded archival standards or would like to be a part of this work, please contact eas.section.saa@gmail.com.
I found that RiC webinar really insightful — it’s impressive how much thought is going into structuring archival data for long-term clarity and access. It made me think about how systems, whether for archives or entertainment, need to be intuitive and accessible. That’s actually why I started using lucky star — the interface is clean, and the whole experience feels tailored, especially for players from India. After a full day of focused work or learning sessions like this, it’s been my go-to way to unwind and reset without overthinking anything.
Filament choice plays a huge role in the quality of your final 3D print. Each type—from PLA to PETG—has its own characteristics, and choosing the right one can make the difference between a successful project and a failed one. For modelers who want reliable STL files optimized for printing, stl files for 3d printing offers a carefully curated marketplace featuring designs inspired by video games and comics. Materials matter, but so does model quality. Having the right file is half the battle in getting that perfect layer finish.
