If you missed the SAA Solo Archivists Section (SAS) annual section meeting on July 22, or just want to rewatch the announcements or Allison Bundy's interesting and informative deep dive into implementing ArchivEra at her repository, the recording is now available!
If you're only interested in Allison's presentation, it begins (after a short introduction by SAS incoming chair Hilary Swett) at about the 23-minute mark.
A reminder of the content of her talk:
Allison's case study covers the reasons for her collection's migration to ArchivEra, the planning process, the migration process, and lessons learned. As a bonus, she shares insights from a VHS digitization project using OBS Studio, a free open source video recording software program.
Bio:
Allison Bundy is the College Archivist & Digital Collections Librarian in the Carl B. Ylvisaker Library at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and is the current Newsletter Editor for the Solo Archivists section. She was introduced to Concordia as a student and became the college's Archives Associate after graduating. Upon completing her master's, she transitioned into the role of Archivist. As a solo archivist, Allison's goal is to one day have the digital content of Concordia's archives fully inventoried and accessible to researchers.
[The recording was stopped before the Q&A to encourage more open discussion. But if you have a follow-up question, or ideas for next year's meeting, feel free to contact the SAS steering committee at soloarchivists.saa@gmail.com.]
