  1. Review of 2015-16 Activities

    1. EAD3 Study Groups

      1. "Implementing EAD3: Search and Exploration" was completed and uploaded to the Roundtable microsite in July of 2016 (http://www2.archivists.org/sites/all/files/EAD3_Study_Group_on_Discovery_Recommendations_20160719.pdf)

      2. The Migration study group continues its work and hopes to complete and distribute a draft report for review by November of 2016.

      1. Monish Singh and Ruth Kitchin Tillman completed work on this project last year (https://github.com/saa-ead-roundtable/ead3-toolkit)

    1. Section Renaming

      1. Revision to the bylaws passed; the Encoded Archival Description Roundtable is now the Encoded Archival Standards Roundtable

      1. Laura Starratt implemented Facebook and Twitter accounts for the Roundtable

    2. Collection of “Wild” EAD3 Specimens

      1. Project began, but met with minimal success and was allowed to lapse

  2. Brainstorming/Planning 2016-17 Activities

    1. Contact SAA to find out what the Roundtable needs to do regarding section renaming

      1. Clean up microsite to reflect changes

    1. Incorporate other standards (EAC-F, EAC-G, EGAD, etc.) into the Roundtable Standards Portal

      1. Compile list of new standards to link to; ensure they don’t duplicate things already on the list.

      2. Work on this project will be done by the Roundtable as a whole

    1. Resume project to collect “wild” EAD3 guides

    1. Webinar Series

      1. Launch series of webinars on topics like EAD3 migration, ArchivesSpace and EAD3, etc. where people who have completed the work talk about the advantages, disadvantages, pitfalls, tips and tricks, etc.

      2. Adrian Turner and Patrick Galligan will send an e-mail to gauge interest and identify potential speakers

    1. Standing Roundtable meeting on the last Tuesday of every 2 months from 11am-12pm Arizona time

      1. 11am-12pm CDT until November 6, after which it’s 10-11am CDT.

      2. 2-3pm EDT until November 6, after which it’s 1-2pm EDT.
