Call for nominations for AMI Section leadership 2025-2026!

Do you get a thrill looking at a box of tapes or talking about preservation, identification, description, transcriptions, digitization (the list goes on) we might just be the group for you!   

If you are looking to expand your involvement within the Audio & Moving Image (AMI) community, please consider nominating yourself or a colleague for one of these leadership positions. In these roles you can build the section to new heights by creating programs, networking and providing expertise and education on AMI archives! These are volunteer-based roles and depending on which role you are interested in it will determine the time commitment necessary. A monthly meeting is required to attend if you are selected. 

Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague for one of these positions:

• Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect (2 year commitment, 1 year as Vice-Chair and then 1 year as Chair)

• Member-At-Large, Steering Committee (1 year commitment)

• Member-At-Large, Steering Committee (1 year commitment)

*Depending on nominations the Steering Committee can include more than two members, but two is the minimum for elections.

• Candidate Name

• Job Title and Institution

• Headshot (high resolution) – optional

• Bio and Candidate Statement (1-2 paragraphs)

Submissions due end of day Monday, May 19.

Candidates will be  posted to our Section's microsite by the end of May to show who's running for each position. Ballots will be open on June 25-July 16 for an online election with results at the end of July.
