Checklist for Presenters

This checklist is a brief summary of important deadlines and information you will need as you prepare to participate in ARCHIVES * RECORDS 2024. Please keep this document easily accessible for quick reference.

By June 10 

Register for the Annual Meeting by the Early-Bird Discount.
Register by June 10, and you’ll save at least $90 off the advance registration rate and $170 off the onsite rate. Not an SAA member? Consider joining today to save up to 39% with the purchase of an SAA individual membership and full conference registration! Let Them Know You are Presenting!
We’ve developed conference branded images for you to download and share on social media to let people know you're presenting at ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2024. Remember to add your session or poster number (e.g., s101) and #saa24 to your posts! https://www2.archivists.org/am2024/resources/im-presenting

By July 12 

Make Your Hotel and Travel Arrangements
If you are attending the Annual Meeting in person, make your hotel reservations and travel arrangements as soon as possible. This will help ensure discounted rates and the lowest available airfare. The hotel cut-off date for the preferred conference rate is July 15—or whenever the hotel room block has sold out. https://www2.archivists.org/am2024/attend/hotel-reservations

Send Your Presentation Draft to Other Session Participants.
To facilitate a smooth flow of information and to avoid repetition during your session, we suggest presenters circulate copies of their presentations to each other well in advance of the meeting. All presenters should review the presentations they receive and discuss conflicts or overlap with others in the session. We’ve developed a conference branded Power Point slide template. Participate in a Zoom session or conference call.
Good planning pays off! Talk with your co-presenters in advance to ensure a smooth presentation.
