Nancy McGovern

Nancy Y. McGovern is the Co-founder of SAA’s Research Forum and Electronic Records Section, Associate for Digital Preservation Instruction and Practice for Global Archivist LLC, and Director of the Digital Preservation Management (DPM) Workshops. She has been preserving digital content for more than 35 years. Her interests include sustainable digital preservation and radical collaboration for inclusive communities. She is a past president of the Society of American Archives (SAA), was designated a Fellow of the Society, was the 2023 recipient of the Emmett Leahy Award, and has a PhD in digital preservation from UCL.
