Julie C. Swierczek is the Librarian for Primary Resources and Metadata Services at the Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College and the Swarthmore College Peace Collection. Previously, she worked as a digital asset manager and digital archivist in an art museum, as a "lone arranger" university archivist and special collections librarian, and as the cataloger for a university library.

Julie has an MA in Philosophy (Miami University of Ohio, 2004) and an MS in Library and Information Science (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, 2012). She is interested in teaching technology to beginners; in online privacy and safety; and in developing digital preservation solutions that work not only for the largest institutions but also for the smallest ones.
