Jessica Farrell is a facilitator, archivist, advocate, and consultant. Through her consultancy Redstart Works, she drives technological transformations, facilitates trainings, and publishes on digital archives and related topics. Jess facilitated the BitCurator Consortium, a community of digital forensics practitioners; and the Software Preservation Network; a community of practitioners passionate about preserving software, from 2019-2024. Before that, she spent a decade as a digital/archivist at organizations such as Harvard Law School Library, McDonald’s Corporation, and the College of Charleston.
