Jane Kenamore is a founding partner of the Archives consulting firm Kenamore & Klinkow, established in 1997. Prior to consulting, Ms. Kenamore was the head of special collections at the Rosenberg Library in Galveston Texas (1976–88); archivist at the Art Institute of Chicago (1988–89); education director of the Society of American Archivists (1989–95); and archivist at the American Medical Association (1995–97).
She has served on the Council of the Society of American Archivists, as president of the Society of Southwest Archivists, and on the Board of the Academy of Certified Archivists. Ms. Kenamore was elected Fellow of the Society of American Archivists in 2007.
Recent clients of Kenamore & Klinkow have included universities, corporations, major arts organizations, national associations, smaller not-for-profits, and local high schools. Projects have included archives assessments with recommendations, exhibits, oral history projects, facilities plans, records management plans, grant writing, and administration.
