Glen McAninch retired from the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA), Public Records Division as Manager for the Technology Analysis and Support Branch at KDLA, a unit responsible for Division application support and development of an Electronic Records Archive. Prior to KDLA, he worked in special collections units at both the University of Kentucky Libraries and the University of Georgia Libraries.
Glen has served on committees and given presentations at meetings of the Society of American Archivists (SAA), the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA), the Library of Congress sponsored National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA), the Kentucky Council on Archives (KCA), and the Society of Georgia Archivists (SGA). He currently serves on the SAA Digital Archives Specialist Education Subcommittee and the NDSA Content Working Group. His last presentation “Digital Preservation and Records Management in the Cloud” took place at the SAA 2013 annual meeting in New Orleans. He holds a Master of Arts in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Masters in Library Science from the University of Kentucky.
