Description: 

Viewshare is a free and easy-to-use platform for creating and customizing interfaces (interactive maps, timelines, facets, tag clouds) to digital collections and collection metadata. You’ll learn about how you can create these interfaces and use them as ways to explore relationships in collection and provide new modes of access to online collection data.

Learning Outcomes: 
Import data from spreadsheets, MODS records, and Dublin Core data via OAI-PMH
Work with your data by generating structured information (like points of latitude and longitude) from plain text place names
Build dynamic interfaces to your collection information, including maps, timelines, and charts
Share the view you create with everyone or with only select individuals
Embed the interface you create into your own website

Ideally, you should register for a free Viewshare account prior to the webinar so that you can experiment with your own data set and follow along during and directly after the course.
