CHICAGO, IL, February 11, 2021—The Society of American Archivists (SAA), North America's oldest and largest national professional association dedicated to the needs and interests of archives and archivists, has announced that its long-serving Executive Director, Nancy Beaumont, will step down from her position once a successor has joined the association. SAA has initiated a search to identify a new leader.
February 9, 2021—The Society of American Archivists Foundation has just awarded a disaster recovery grant to The York Theatre Company (The York), an East Manhattan-based theatre devoted to developing new musicals and rediscovering underappreciated musical gems from the past.
February 4, 2021—A recent change has been made to the 2021 SAA election ballot. Due to unforeseen circumstances, candidate for Nominating Committee Steven G. Fullwood has chosen to step out of the election.
The Nominating Committee has now added Dave J. Moore (Carhartt) to the slate for the 2022 Nominating Committee. See the new, complete slate for the 2021 election below. Information about each candidate will be posted to the SAA website in early March.
