The next meeting of the SAA Council will take place on Monday, August 5, following the SAA Membership Business Meeting. If you’d like to have an item considered for inclusion on the agenda, submit it to Evans and/or Beaumont no later than 12:00 pm on Sunday, August 4.
The SAA Council announced several key updates at its August 1, 2019 meeting, including the cancellation of the American Archivist Brown Bag Lunch at ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2019, approval of a Tragedy Response Initiative resource kit, and the formation of a new Accessibility and Disability Section to address inclusivity in the archival profession. They also approved revisions to guidelines for holdings counts, renamed the Collection Management Section, and created a task force to review criteria for selecting SAA Fellows.
