SAA and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) announce the selection of five master of library and information science (MLIS) students with specialization in archives to participate in the 2014–2016 ARL/SAA Mosaic Program. Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), this program reflects the joint commitment of SAA and ARL to promote much-needed diversification of the archives and special collections professional workforce.
"The ARL/SAA Mosaic Program is a vital part of SAA's commitment to diversity and inclusion," notes SAA President Kathleen Roe. “The program also builds strong ties with ARL in expanding professional expertise for documenting and presenting a historical record that reflects the diversity of American life.”
The 2014–2016 ARL/SAA Mosaic Program fellows are:

Fellows in the ARL/SAA Mosaic Program will participate in a paid internship with a partner institution and will receive a tuition stipend, mentoring, leadership development and career placement assistance, complimentary student membership in SAA, and support to attend the SAA Annual Meeting and 2015 ARL/SAA Mosaic Leadership Forum.
