May 28, 2013—In a “Joint Statement on Parameters for National Historical Publications and Records Commission Grants,” SAA, the Council of State Archivists, and the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators recommend that NARA focus the NHPRC grants program on suggested criteria “to ensure that the program provides maximum impact and produces demonstrable results.” The Joint Statement and accompanying letter to Archivist of the United States David Ferriero appear below.
