Modules Herald New Publishing Initiative

SAA will debut Trends in Archival Arrangement and Description in early 2013. Edited with an introduction by Christopher J. Prom and Thomas J. Frusciano, three modules comprise the forthcoming publication:  

• Module 1: Standards for Archival Description, by Sibyl Schaefer and Janet M. Bunde
• Module 2: Processing Digital Records and Manuscripts, by J. Gordon Daines III
• Module 3: Designing Descriptive and Access Systems, by Daniel A. Santamaria

These modules will continue in SAA’s venerable publishing tradition, but will also enhance the program. The modules, which complement Kathleen D. Roe’s Arranging and Describing Archives and Manuscripts (SAA, 2005), will provide the profession with timely, essential information in both print and electronic formats.
