In a May 23 vote the SAA Council agreed unanimously to endorse as an external standard the ACRL/RBMS Guidelines for Security and Theft in Special Collections, developed by the Rare Book and Manuscript Section Security Committee and approved by the Association of College and Research Libraries of the American Library Association. The Council agreed that the Guidelines should be accompanied on the SAA Standards Portal by an “Introduction for Archivists” prepared by the SAA Security Roundtable.
Thank you for thinking of my security at home. I am not in Singapore, where the crime rate is lower than in many other countries. I am in the process of renovating my corridor and the master bedroom, and will use acoustic lighting solutions sg for this matter. Do you think it will make sense to ask them for any additional options like movement detectors that will turn these lights on?
The other day, someone tried to break into my neighbors' door, and it made me think about a home security system. I had never been interested in this before, I thought that an alarm was something complicated and expensive. I started reading home security systems reviews , comparing models. It turned out that there are quite affordable and reliable options. One site with real user reviews was especially helpful - thanks to it, I chose a system that is easy to install and does not require overpaying every month.
